Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a room or make modifications to my booking?
To check availability and book accommodation please see our website www.madelinesaccommodation.ie to get the best rates.
If you need to make modifications to an existing booking please email bookings@madelinesaccommodation.ie. The email is monitored Monday to Friday.
How do I pay for my stay?
Card details are required at booking in order to reserve your room. Payment will be taken 14 days prior to arrival date. We accept card details securely on our website.
What time is check-in?
Check-in time is anytime after 2pm. We operate remotely so unique keycode is sent via text prior to arrival. This is used to access the building and your private room.
What time is check-out?
Guests are requested to vacate their rooms no later than 11am.
How do I check-in/ check-out?
At least 24 hours before your stay, you will receive two unique codes by text messgae for the front door & your room. These codes must not be shared with anybody not staying at the property.

Where can I get breakfast? Our restaurant is currently closed, but breakfast can be purchased in the village. Click here for a full list cafes & restaurants in Tinahely.

How do I get to Madelines?
Located in the centre of the Tinahely village, we are easily found. If you enter our Eircode into Google Maps “Y14 P732” it will bring you directly to our door.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your booking, please give 7 days notice prior to your stay via email. Under 7 days and your booking payment will be non-refundable.
Are children welcome at Madelines?
Yes, we cater for families. If you require a travel cot, please let us know prior to your stay. Our double rooms sleep 2 people so a family of 3 or more will need to book our family room. Please enquire via email, bookings@madelineaccommodation.ie
Do you facilitate Pets?
Yes, we can organise your pet’s stay at the local kennels just 2km from our property. Contact Ann at Pet Lodge on 087-3155784 to book your pets stay. We do not permit pets at the property.
What facilities do your rooms have?
Each room has a private en-suite, TV, access to WiFi, beverage making facilities, fresh sheets, towels and toiletries. We supply shower gel, shampoo and shower caps. Rooms also have an iron, ironing board and hair dryer for your use.
How private is the accommodation?
Unlike most B&Bs, Madeline’s is not a private dwelling. This means the only occupants are guests which have their own private rooms.
Can you smoke on the property?
We have a no smoking policy throughout Madelines. Smoking is permitted outside the property only.
What are the parking facilities at Madelines?
Free street parking is available at the front of the property.
Is Madelines wheelchair accessible?
The property is a traditional townhouse built in 1843, retaining the original features and layout means restricted access for some visitors. We will do our best to accommodate all guests who wish to stay with us but Madelines is not suitable for wheelchair users.
I left something behind, how can I reclaim it? We are happy to hold personal belongings left behind for two weeks. Contact us directly via email or phone to organise collection. If not reclaimed, the item will be sent to the local charity shop.
