Terms & Conditions

By placing a booking at Madelines Accommodation, you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us by email, bookings@madelinesaccommodation.ie

  1. Full payment is required 14 days before you stay in order to secure your booking. If you need to cancel your booking, please give 7 days notice via email prior to your stay. Under 7 days and your booking payment will not be refundable.
  2. Bookings commence 2pm on the day of arrival, terminating 11am on the day of departure. Check-in is from 2-6pm and check-out time is no later than 11am. Early check-in and late check-out by prior arrangement only.
  3. Our accommodation is run remotely, meaning we will not be at the guesthouse on your arrival. Our simplistic check in/check out has proven to be a great success with our guests. We also have a 24 hour contact number in the event of emergencies such as misplaced keys etc.
  4. The guesthouse is monitored by CCTV cameras located in the entrance hall, staircase, hallways, outside rooms and at external entrance points. There are no CCTV cameras in guest rooms.
  5. The lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within.
  6. No persons in excess of the number agreed at the time of booking are to occupy the room. Breach of this rule will terminate the contract without a refund to the client.
  7. We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the comfort of others. Please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
  8. No pets are allowed within the property. We do work alongside a local kennel who would be delighted to care for your pet during your stay. Contact us directly via email to arrange your pets stay.
  9. Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, e-cigarettes, e-liquids, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco, is only allowed in designated areas as sign posted throughout the accommodation grounds and is in accordance with the Health Act 2006. Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the premises.
  10. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund. No further financial claims will be considered.
  11. No liability shall be accepted by us for loss, damage or theft of personal property belonging to guests, either in the property or in/to cars, bicycles or other vehicles left on the property. Nor shall liability be accepted by the owners for accident or injury to guests, either within the property or outside.
  12. Please do inform us as soon as possible if you have a complaint with your accommodation or if you find that anything is faulty within the accommodation that needs our attention, so that we can assist and repair or make alternative arrangements. Due to the limited period of hire, it may not be possible to repair such items during the period of hire.
  13. We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key lost.
  14. We strongly recommend that you get your own travel insurance, we do not provide this. If you become unwell due to COVID-19 or need to self-isolate due to COVID-19 the full cost of the booking will be charged.
  15. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge however we cannot always guarantee a consistent service. Guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to the local authorities.
  16. No candles or naked flames are permitted in the property.
  17. Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 2 weeks. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.
  18. We are required to keep a register of guests over the age of 16 who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, and/or passport numbers, place of issue, details of next destination if they are non-British, Irish or Commonwealth guests. This is in accordance with the (Immigration (Hotel records) Order 1972). These records are kept for a minimum of 12 months and in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read on our website. You accept that any entries you make to an on-site guest book, if available, will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed. Any entries containing personal details that may fall into the DPA and GDPR may be removed and destroyed.
  19. We do not permit the resale or transfer of bookings to another party without the owner’s prior agreement.
  20. If there is a breach of any of these conditions by the guest or any of their party, the owner reserves the right to enter the property, and request the guest and their party to leave.
