Tinahely is a beautiful village in the valley of the Derry River, a tributary of the River Slaney.

The old Market / Courthouse occupies the centre of the square and the thriving Courthouse Arts Centre is just opposite, Madelines guesthouse also forms part of the square, the heart of the village! The Arts centre hosts musical performances, exhibitions, theatre and film all year round. A rural cultural gem!

Tinahely is also part of the Wicklow Way route which is a 132 km (82 miles) Way-Marked Way and which follows a North-South line over the eastern flanks of the Wicklow Mountains.

The nearby Tomnafinnoge Oak Wood, one of the largest remaining oak woods in Ireland, makes a lovely spot for an autumn stroll.

Local golf clubs such as Coolattin, Woodenbridge, Maccreddin, Arklow & Bunclody Golf Club provide a variety of courses for the golf lovers in our lives.

Slightly further afield, the Wicklow Mountains, city of Dublin, and ‘Ballykissangel’ village of Avoca make superb destinations for an enjoyable day trip.

The nearby coastline provides beaches and harbours in a 30 minute drive. Courtown is a popular holiday resort nearby. Slightly further afield, you can enjoy the Blue Flag, world-class white sandy beaches at Brittas Bay (40 minutes) and Curracloe (50 minutes). Both are well worth visiting, whatever the weather.
